It's Been Awhile

So, I haven't posted since mid-August...whoops! It's been a little busy!

One thing that's on my mind these days is all of the political ads. I'm SOOOOOOO sick of hearing about who said what, who changed what they said, and who voted which way. Does anyone actually buy what these people are saying? I understand the concept of getting your name out there & making as many impressions as possible, but does it need to be this sarcastic-toned, poorly edited montage of he said/she said?

I can't wait until the election is over, just so it's over. I'd really like John McCain to win. If this country needs change, he's who we should elect. Not some 47-year-old, stubbornly ambitous up-and-comer that has never truly taken on his party. Think about it - this guy has his whole career ahead of him - he's not going to rock the boat. I don't care what he says....I don't care - WATCH. He will put his family and his political career first if given the choice - which we know he will. What would you do? I know what I do. When the rubber meets the road, the decisions he makes and the actions he displays for this country will be those that do not equate to personal or political cost for HIMSELF.

That is why I think McCain is our best shot at change. Not only has he already rocked the boat, he doesn't have a damn thing to lose by capsizing it. The guy is coming to the conclusion of his life as a public figure, and for that matter...on this earth. He's practically a fossil at this point. But he's tough and I think we ought to give him 4 years to see what he can do. He's traveled all over the globe, had decades in public office, and he has money. Other than sticking his middle finger in the air at the beaurocrats in DC, what else does this guy have left to accomplish in life - really? ;)

Go McCain!!!!
